Andrew is currently the eCommerce Manager at The Caldrea Company. In that role he oversees all aspects of the division, from website design and marketing to operations and order fulfillment.
Andrew started at Caldrea in September of 2005. Prior to that, Caldrea had outsourced their web business, but they decided to bring it in-house, and Andrew was hired to manage that process. The redesigned
Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day website launched in January of 2006, and the redesigned
Caldrea website launched in February of that year. Through the process, changes made to the design of the sites led to an instant 50% increase in the conversion rates (the percentage of people completing a purchase) of both sites. Additionally, enhancements in the marketing of the websites also increased traffic dramatically, leading to a substantial increase in revenues.
Andrew's most immediate job prior to Caldrea was at search marketing company iProspect. In his first position there he was fully trained in the intricacies of organic search engine optimization before joining the paid search group, where he helped develop the paid inclusion product offering.
Please read on for Andrew's experience in specific online marketing disciplines.
Search Engine Optimization
Andrew worked for more than a year learning organic search at iProspect in Boston, widely recognized as one of the premier search firms. There, Andrew managed campaigns for blue chip clients such as airlines and major online retailers. At Caldrea, Andrew helped design specifications for the new website constructions that incorporate search engine optimization principles, greatly increasing the traffic and revenues each site receives from search.
Paid Search
While at iProspect, Andrew earned his Google Adwords certification, and was responsible for building and maintaining multiple ROI-sensitive pay-per-click campaigns for all the major search networks. Currently, Andrew built and maintains the paid search campaigns for Caldrea and Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day on Google, Yahoo!, MSN, and Ask.
Email Marketing
Andrew currently manages the email marketing campaigns for Caldrea and Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day, developing marketing and promotion schedules, conceiving emails and overseeing their design, and managing Caldrea's email service provider. In his time at Caldrea, Andrew has designed ongoing promotions that have tripled email signup rates.
Paid Inclusion
While at iProspect, Andrew was asked to take the lead on paid inclusion, a new product offering. He oversaw and helped to guide much of the development of the program, both setting guidelines for successful feed management, as well as managing more than 50 clients. During his tenure, Andrew vastly increased the size of the program, expanding it to include feed management for Yahoo! Site Submit, LookSmart, Yahoo! Shopping, and Froogle. At Caldrea, Andrew has developed and managed datafeeds for numerous other shopping search engines, as well as the Google Sitemaps program.
